Jessie Marlene’s artistic journey began with an exploration of various art forms that called to her. "I started experimenting with different mediums that fed my soul," she recalls. "As a kid, my journey into the arts began with fashion and styling—it was my gateway. Then came acting and choir. When my family got our first computer, I discovered Microsoft Paint on Windows, and I was hooked. That was back in elementary school, and I’m still doing the same things today—only now, it’s for professional projects and on my Mac." 

This early fascination with fashion and self-expression laid the groundwork for what would become a rich and varied career, where she continuously blends personal identity with professional mastery. 

The Butterfly Booth at ComplexCon: A Career-Defining Moment 

While Jessie Marlene had already made a name for herself as a stylist working on campaigns for clients like Champion Apparel, it was her bold leap into the art world with the "Butterfly Booth" at ComplexCon Long Beach that marked a turning point in her career. 

"I remember feeling so unprepared," she shares. "They switched my booth at the last minute, putting me right next to Takashi Murakami, Futura 2000, and Kid Cudi. I had this enormous space to fill and was completely broke, so I had no idea how I was going to do it. I remember I was running on faith, and yeah… that art installation changed my life." 

The immersive activation featured 300 live butterflies, enclosed within a tall mesh tent where guests could interact with them under the guidance of a professional handler. What began as a stressful, last-minute project during one of the darkest periods of her life transformed into something far greater.

"It was a tough time in my life, but I always had faith,” Jessie Marlene recalls. Like a caterpillar emerging from darkness, she used that period of isolation to transform her pain into a powerful symbol of hope and renewal. The Butterfly Booth became an instant hit, with long lines wrapping around the convention center before doors had even opened. Its success caught the attention of international press and event producers, opening doors to new opportunities and elevating Jessie Marlene’s career in ways she hadn’t imagined. 

She even won Snapchat’s Favorite Booth award at ComplexCon, a moment that marked a turning point in Jessie Marlene’s career. "My artwork connected with a lot of people, and that was really special," she reflects. "I thought, 'Hey, people really love my art activations. Maybe I can turn this into something bigger.' It opened doors I hadn’t even imagined." 

The Birth of CoCreate Enterprises: Where Art Meets Production 

Despite never intending to enter the production world, Jessie Marlene quickly adapted to the demands of large-scale events. She founded CoCreate Enterprises, a creative studio and production company that seamlessly blends her artistic vision with logistical acumen. Through CoCreate, Jessie Marlene has worked with A-list clients and Fortune 500 companies, curating immersive experiences that merge art and events in groundbreaking ways. 

CoCreate has overseen activations for major events, redefining the landscape of immersive art across festivals, exclusive parties, and fashion shows. Jessie Marlene’s leadership extends far beyond logistics—her vision lies in crafting transformative and unforgettable experiences. Some of her favorite projects are those where she can merge art and events to inspire and support the next generation of young artists.“I’m honored to contribute to projects that give back and create opportunities for future creatives,” Jessie Marlene reflects. ”One day, I want CoCreate to develop its own non-profit sector. I know eventually I’ll grow into the role of a philanthropist.”

A shining example of her dedication to art is her recent work titled 'I See You,' a colossal 18 ft wide, 7 ft tall oil painting that she unveiled at Miami Art Week. The red, white, and blue canvas, adorned with hundreds of eyes, reflects Jessie Marlene’s bold yet playful style.

Currently, Jessie is immersed in her Mexican-American series, a personal body of work that spans film, photography, painting, and sculpture. The series explores themes of identity, multiculturalism, and the immigrant experience, with each piece inviting viewers to reflect on societal expectations and personal heritage. It’s more than just a collection of artwork; it’s an ongoing dialogue with her roots, one that she plans to debut at a gallery when the time is right. “When it’s ready,” she jokes, “that’s when I’ll show it.” 

Panamericana: Blending Cultures, Crafting Legacy 

Jessie Marlene’s passion for fashion is an extension of her art, seamlessly blending both worlds into one creative expression. She and her partner are preparing to launch Panamericana, a fashion brand that honors the artistry of true craftsmanship while merging cultures from across the Americas. "We’ve been traveling to Mexico almost every week to work directly with the best artisans," she shares. Collaborating with master silver and leather artisans has been a labor of love. "I’m working with them to create pieces that celebrate Mexico’s rich heritage, blending traditional techniques with modern design." 

Panamericana blends cultural heritage with the essence of Americana, using the finest materials across its entire collection. The brand features naturally dyed fabrics in select bags and clothing, as well as Japanese denim—a nod to classic American workwear. Leading the jewelry design, Jessie Marlene’s standout creations, such as the solid .925 silver Queen of Hearts card earrings, exemplify Panamericana’s fusion of tradition and modern innovation. With a commitment to high quality, every piece—from fine jewelry to apparel—is crafted with care, offering a timeless yet forward-thinking approach to fashion. 

A Multidimensional Creator 

Beyond her work in art, production, and fashion, Jessie Marlene’s creative spirit extends into spoken word, acting, singing, dancing, and songwriting. Jessie Marlene is a natural entertainer and sees it as an extension of her creativity. "I love to perform! As a theater and choir kid, it’s just part of who I am." 

Jessie Marlene explains that many of her creative ideas come from her dreams. “I get a lot of my ideas from dreams or sometimes either right before I fall asleep or just as I wake up. Fashion, music, art, even furniture, the idea probably came to me in bed.”

We shouldn’t limit ourselves to one thing just because the world tries to put us in a box. Make what you want and do what feels right."
