Pointed palapa roofs peek through the tops of trees in the jungles of Tulum, where a boutique hotel has been built from the nature. Here, what used to be a small beach house has been converted into an 11-suite boutique hotel: La Valise Tulum.
The natural beige building is perched on the Caribbean coastline of Mexico’s Yucatán Peninsula, marking the spot where history and modernism come to a convergence. In the not-so-far distance, Mayan temples and cenote pools scatter the grounds. In the turquoise blue water, coral reefs hide just below the surface. From the rubber tree wood built up into large open windows, a rare sense of ease arises in the natural mysticism.
La Valise Tulum is the most recent from hotelier Yves Naman as a part of the Namron Hospitality Group. Last year, 11 more suites were added to the boutique hotel with the addition of the La Valise Jungle to the property.
The hotels host a plethora of amenities, starting with one of the world’s most beautiful beaches. The Tulum Beach Strip hosts the second largest coral reef on the planet, along with lush jungles of the Sian Ka’an Biosphere. The natural beauty of Tulum is on display here, front and center, along with sustainability efforts to keep the natural beauty as it is. Every guest is encouraged to sign a Tulum Pledge, a promise to mindfully leave Tulum better than they found it.
The properties also include a new spa sanctuary, and a restaurant and bar with full beach service. The spa sanctuary has various treatments to engage the body, mind, and soul, and guests can visit a jaguar and panther rehabilitation center to further connect with the natural world around them. The restaurant and bar uses fresh, local ingredients that can be served in the restaurant or on the beach. Choose between smoothies and bowls and other breakfast foods, and NÜ Tulum’s menu with hand crafted cocktails and vibrant local cuisine.
La Valise Tulum is an immersive experience designed to provide guests with an experience in nature that cannot be had anywhere else. The attention to detail, the tranquility, and the location all combine to create a dreamy escape that keeps the very essence of Tulum at its’ core.
