After 18 years of working in the fast-paced luxury automotive industry, planning high-end events for brands like Ferrari, Aston Martin, Bentley, Rolls Royce, Lucid, Bugatti, Pirelli, McLaren, and Lamborghini, Letizia Silvestri discovered that she needed a career pivot. Although working in the automotive industry allowed her to utilize her creativity and planning skills, she often felt overworked, burnt out, and exhausted.
To manage the mental and physical side effects of working in such a demanding field, Letizia started to explore the world of sound healing, which significantly helped lower her stress levels while increasing her creativity and productivity at work. Experiencing such effectiveness firsthand, she, therefore, began receiving sound healing sessions every week.
During the pandemic, Letizia adopted her beloved dog, Zen, a rescue dog with a troubled past filled with abuse and neglect, thus causing him to suffer from anxiety and fear, which resulted in many troublesome behavioral issues. After trying many trainers and consulting with an animal behaviorist, Letizia was given the option to regularly administer Zen doggy Xanax or put him down. However, neither sounded like a “real” option to her.
In hopes of calming him down and relieving his anxiety, Letizia decided to get a set of singing bowls and introduced Zen to the power of sound healing. "After seeing the incredibly positive soothing effect it had on his behavior by practicing daily (both mornings and evenings), I became a certified sound healer and began sharing the healing benefits of sound with my close community," she affirmed.
Later, Letizia founded Altha, a team of healers dedicated to providing a modern approach to the ancient world of sound healing. She runs Altha as the chief healing officer. Her main accomplishments through the program include; helping her dog rehabilitate and have a normal, happy, and playful life, building a life that she loves, and producing a sound bath on the helipad of the Four Seasons Hotel Los Angeles at Beverly Hills.
The chief healing officer aims to collaborate with Inara on creating an Altha fragrance to do scent activation at the beginning of each sound bath, and they plan to announce this on December 12. The scent is neuro-science backed and will come with a QR code with a recorded meditation led by Letizia to enable guests to continue their relaxation journey even after the sound bath ends. In addition, it makes for a great morning ritual. Letizia and her team continue to work tirelessly to make the perfume available right on time for Valentine's Day, and it will be available for pre-order on altha.com. Following the launch, we will be introducing candles and diffusers!
Letizia looks forward to introducing 'The Altha Masterclass,' a comprehensive online course about sound healing. She intends to host local and international wellness retreats, record sound healing tracks, and distribute them to the LA animal shelters and rescue centers. In addition, she would love to play a sound bath with some of her favorite meditators, such as Jay Shetty and Gabrielle Bernstein. While Letizia's short-term dream is to lead a sound bath at The Hollywood Bowl, The Disney Hall, and the new Academy for Motion Pictures globe structure, her long-term dream is to have the Altha Club. "In this membership club, every month, members can attend a bespoke wellness experience at a different venue and with different modalities of healing," concludes the chief healing officer.
