The twenty-four-year-old LA-based artist, Liv.e, releases her second offering “Wild Animals” off her upcoming sophomore album, Girl in The Half Pearl. "Wild Animals" follows her debut track "Ghost," and comes in the form of sweet release intertwined with her hopeful tendrils of what may come. Co-written and produced alongside John Carrol Kirby and Solomonphonic, the artist’s saccharine vocals lay on a bed of adorning shimmering piano and bass, attuned to the rhythm of her own thoughts and meditations. Not afraid of saying goodbye, Liv.e sings delicately of her willingness to let go of what and translates her woe into sweeting impassioned and affectionate soundscapes.
Girl in The Half Pearl releasing Feb 10th via In Real Life, is a 17-track account of the artist’s reflections as she faces her own furies. Taking a diaristic approach, she tells a tale of forgiveness, regeneration, and an evergreen tenderness. Continuing her progress from her 2020 debut album, Couldn’t Wait To Tell You…, Girl in The Half Pearl sees Liv.e genuinely partake in the of act conscious, yet stil be able to remain true to her softhearted sensibilities and warm sincerity.
On transcending her sonic intentions into something that is visual and tangible, the artist shares, “I really love the process of coming up with a vision and doing my best to ensure that it will come out just as it was in my imagination. I tend to use almost all my practices as another way to strengthen my trust and belief in myself.” She continues, ”The concept is just based on the release of letting go old 'people pleasing' habits that I tended to act on in the past a lot. A depiction of gaining the strength & courage to choose myself every time.”
