Logan Avidan, the NYC-based singer/songwriter, model, and actress who has graced screens in projects like Inventing Anna on Netflix, is back with the release of her highly anticipated music video for "Secret Dream," the title track off her new EP, now available across platforms. The video, directed by her longtime collaborator Savannah Kodish, offers a visually captivating complement to the sultry, suspenseful sound of the single. With its nostalgic nod to '90s erotic thrillers, "Secret Dream" envelops viewers in a tension-filled, dreamlike experience that plays on the power of the femme fatale archetype.
Of the track, Logan shares, “With ‘Secret Dream,’ I wanted to evoke feelings of nostalgia similar to the seductive world of '90s erotic thrillers. My aim was to build tension and create a suspenseful feeling that something is about to happen—a sense of ‘edging’ where you are going somewhere but haven’t arrived yet.”
Logan’s music continues to subvert traditional narratives around the objectification of women in art, transforming it into a potent and provocative statement. This single, like much of her work, plays with the themes of power, intrigue, and the hypnotic allure of the femme fatale.
"Secret Dream" is just one of the many creative offerings from Logan’s EP, co-written and produced with John Eatherly, a powerhouse talent from projects like Be Your Own Pet and Public Access TV. Eatherly’s extensive background with indie, garage rock, and dream-pop acts provides a rich sonic framework for Logan’s mesmerizing vocals. The two have established a strong creative bond, crafting a blend of music that defies genre boundaries while maintaining an ethereal, cinematic quality.
Logan’s rise over the past year and a half has been marked by the release of a handful of singles—"Carried Away," "Hot And Bothered," "TOMORROW," and "Left My Heart"—earning her features on MTV, Wonderland Magazine, and inclusion in ONES TO WATCH's #NowWatching Spotify playlist.
