On December 5th, the Moncler Grenoble Fall-Winter 2024 collection made its runway debut in St. Moritz. The campaign is shot by world-renowned photographer, Mario Sorrenti, and observes the ingenious alliance of practicality and high fashion. The collection demonstrates a deep understanding of the need for winter sportswear.  It harmonizes the intensity and dynamics of outdoor sports with the human need for artistic expression, warmth, and comfort, perfectly encapsulating the sophisticated and daring lifestyle of après-ski.

Powder skirts flow beautifully and resiliently behind the impact of snow and wind, while cozy textiles like corduroy and wool flannel maintain style. The women’s skiwear is characterized by its “ornate folk-art embroidery,” with snowflake-inspired quilting and handmade patchwork throughout. In the midst of all, there is intense contrast in colors, fabrics, and textures. Moncler Grenoble’s commitment to quality is more than evident through their weaving practices: 19 times per cross stitch to elevate the designs, creating a puffier, more three-dimensional effect on sweaters and cardigans. Women are also seen in fashionable alpaca wool coats, hefty shearling boots, and fuzzy bags.

The menswear line features edgier patterns on their quilted jackets, like chevron and diamond, designs that allow art to imitate life as icicles fill the space around them. The wool melange cut panels and the series of nylon further the brand’s taste for craftsmanship. Skis, helmets, goggles, and gloves, also make their triumphant appearance.

Taking the cake, is Moncler Grenoble x WHITESPACE’s Montano snowboard, which debuts as a limited edition component to this collection. The item was carefully designed by three-time Olympic gold medalist, Shaun White, who is a longtime ambassador of Moncler Grenoble. With it, he wanted to showcase sleek high-quality wood, the layering of durable fiberglass, and reticulate carbon-fiber inserts. Other ambassadors include five-time World Champion mogul skier and Olympic gold medalist, Perrine Laffont, and newcomer, Lucas Pinheiro Braathen, who is famously known for being a style icon and World Cup champion slalom skier.
