Puppets and Puppets presented their Fall/Winter 2023 collection at New York Fashion Week on Feb. 13th, 2023. Puppets and Puppets founder and creative director Carly Mark has been inspired by film often, and for the Fall/Winter collection, drew inspiration from David Cronenberg’s Dead Ringers, a film that follows twin doctors and their descent into madness. Artist Quori Theodor created food sculptures for the runway which further emphasized the sculptural element of the accessories, as well as the psychological landscape of the film.

Mark explored the intersection of masculine and feminine in this collection, with tailored wool suiting accompanying sequined shift dresses and satin pants. Flocked florals, snakeskin, and faux fur all found their way onto the runway as well. The Puppets bag evolved this season, donning roses in various colors, butterflies, and orchids, as well as a new Hobo bag that sits on any wearer’s shoulder comfortably.
