Purest Form, is a crucible melting both heavy metal and EBM to create their own industrial intentions laced with the raw edge of severity with unapologetic intensity that refuses to let go. Recently, the band shared their newest single “Burn,” wherein jagged synths and an unyielding bass provide the backdrop, to which vocalist Story Beeson tears through with a ferocity that feels almost supernatural. The band shares, “We have a burning fantasy to set fire to a complacent retroactive society. Start new. Start present. See things for what they are and destroy corrupt & evil monoliths of war.”

Ahead of their stint at Los Angeles’ And Always Forever this November at The Echo/Echoplex, Purent Form releases an archival video from the first time they played their new song, “Burn” live. The band shares, “This is from our show at Zebulon on June 21st 2024 with L.O.T.I.O.N., La Pregunta & The Exile. We are playing parts of “Burn” and the beginning of our cover of “Breathe” by The Prodigy. The video was taken by our friend Lizzie Klein.”

And Always Forever which also includes heavy hitters the Swirlies, Schwefelgelb, Marie Davidson, Loveliescrushing, Astrobrite, Croation Amor, and more at the Echo/Echoplex on Saturday, November 9th. The first of its kind, AAF is a love letter to the Los Angeles music scene, wherein dense, turbulent, and exposed soundscapes of shoegaze will marry into the pummeling percussion and pervasive force of today’s experimental techno. You can find tickets at andalwaysforever.com.

What do you hope listeners take home with them after AAF, and what are you looking forward to?

We hope after the festival everyone takes home feelings of strength and joy. They will be experiencing incredible sounds and energy. It should be extremely inspiring.

I am super looking forward to seeing Swirlies and dancing to Schwefelgelb until the heels of my boots come off (it can totally happen) and of course, looking forward to playing!

What can you say about music and its longevity?

I can say that music has staying power and will always bring people back to their true spirit. If it’s good enough.

What do you hope lasts forever?

I hope playing outside lasts forever.
