The US film industry is one of the top film industries in the world. It is also one of the most competitive. The industry offers more opportunities compared to most, which has seen many talents flock to the country and made it harder for videographers, actors, and actresses to find that first job and establish themselves. But this hasn't stopped Rosanna Peng from making her mark as a self-taught videographer. Rosanna Peng has proved that it is not about how much you know but the passion and effort you put into what you do. Here is her story.

Rosanna is a well-known videographer and filmmaker living in the US. She worked on various top projects with brands such as Nike, Canon, Hypebeast, Google, Urban Decay, and more. Her work has gained millions of views and has been displayed on digital billboards across the country.

Her professionalism, unique style, and passion for what she does help her stand out in the highly-crowded US film industry. Rosanna takes a unique approach to art and content creation by using filmmaking to convey her self-discovery while encouraging empathy.

Rosanna believes that life is filled with unexpected beauty. You just have to change your view, which is what she is doing. Through film, she shows her viewers the importance of slowing down and viewing everyday situations through a new ethereal lens. She also uses art to share pieces of her story and hopefully encourage other young dreamers.

Rosanna was born in Vancouver, Canada, where her passion for art started. But her journey was challenging. Rosanna is a first-generation Asian Canadian. She is the daughter of Chinese immigrants and grew up in the aisles of her parent's grocery store. Growing up without seeing many people who looked like her made her feel like she wasn't good enough, which highly impacted her journey. Rosanna is also self-taught and didn't attend school to learn videography. She started shooting and editing wedding videos for friends and friends of friends, and in time, built a solid brand. But navigating the space without proper skills was difficult. Rosanna made countless mistakes. At one point, she forgot her camera and only remembered when she was at the engagement shoot.

Looking back, she is proud that she overcame her doubts and insecurities and embraced who she is. "Realizing my worth and my 'why' helped me work on my skills and grow my brand," Rosanna says.

Rosanna is passionate about sharing and exploring the complex stories of her own identity growing up as the child of an immigrant. She says her goal is to continue doing this as she changes how people view everyday moments through her new 'lens’. Rosanna is encouraging other young creators to fight for their passions and not let what society thinks of them stop them from doing what they love. She is also showing other immigrant children that they are good enough and shouldn't feel inferior to their peers. Rosanna is currently writing a short film on the dual identities of a second-generation immigrant
