The New York flower power brand, Sandy Liang and French outdoor goods company, Salomon have announced their footwear capsule collection, reinventing the RX Moc 3.0 and XT-6 Expanse styles with saccharine sentimentalities and lush details.

It all began when we saw Salomon adorning Sandy Liang's Spring/Summer 2021 collection, bridging the worlds of timeless whimsy and sportstyle. The capsule collection has become a transformative experience for both as their song for quality entangled to create the breath of an endless spring with their latest offering. Salomon’s Marketing Manager, Bryan Diaz shares, “We are thrilled to be working alongside Sandy Liang to bring new women’s offerings into market and to continue exploring this category. Salomon was drawn to Sandy’s ability to innovate new designs and push boundaries while maintaining the brand’s core DNA.”

To the Salomon RX Moc 3.0, Sandy Liang offers the essence of air and breathability with their new mesh like material and iconic flower motifs. The footwear becomes an ode to a fallen petal, encapsulating the playfulness of girlhood and the natural evergreen pull toward the outdoors. The XT-6 Expanse features in a pink color tone, the first for the French Alp brand, appealing to those who trek through gardens and chase the the ends of grassy plains at sunset.

For Liang, the inspiration comes from within retrieving memories of childhood nostalgia. "There is a sportiness to Salomon that resonates with me,” the designer shares. “Growing up in the 90s, I loved wearing sneakers. I incorporated this into my design process, tapping into nostalgic colorways and details like the anime inspired flower decal seen throughout the capsule."

The global release launches on May 5th and will be available at Salomon select retailers and salomon.com.
