Back in May, ZOĒ released the single, “Healing Myself.” The single was met with acclaim. The UK singer-songwriter returns with a slight change of pace single, “Time To Be Free.” The new song still continues with the themes of self-exploration and self-growth, but slows the tempo down a bit. The slower pace really allows ZOĒ’s polished vocals and captivating lyrics to shine, but the song also still has the Drum and Bass sound that fans are accustomed to hearing from her.
“Time To Be Free” is about freeing oneself from oneself. The track stresses the importance of self-love and finding oneself. “The song was created on a rainy day and was inspired by my struggles with insomnia.” ZOĒ continues, “It is about accepting the things that I can change for inner peace and freeing myself from my own limitations.”
ZOĒ penned “Time To Be Free” with Jack Gourlay. Jack Gourlay not only co-wrote the record, but he was responsible for the production. ZOĒ’s euphonious vocals and Jack Gourlay’s mellifluous production create an immaculate song. “Time To Be Free” is a prelude to what ZOĒ has planned for the fall. Stay tuned and feel free to add “Time To Be Free” to your daily rotation.
