Cillian Murphy's ability to captivate audiences has been proven time and time again, and following his Oscar win for the leading role in Oppenheimer, his star power can be described as nothing less than atomic. His ability to lead to step into a character is a tour de force, and the trailer for Small Things Like These, which released today, shows the actor at work again.

Small Things Like These is adapted from the best-selling novel of the same name by Claire Keegan. The film follows Murphy as Bill Furlong, a devoted father who uncovers dark secrets at his community's convent, leading him to confront his past and the tight grip of the Catholic Church on a small Irish town.

The film is directed by Tim Mielants and alongside Murphy, the film's cast features the likes of Michelle Fairley, Clare Dunne and Emily Watson.
