The invitation to this exclusive affair wasn’t your typical paper card — it was elegantly etched onto bottles of the 2020 Silver Oak Alexander Valley Cabernet. The evening peaked with guests sipping the very same vintage at an exclusive afterparty hosted at KYU. In a fusion of fashion and fine wine, Silver Oak teamed up with Jackson Wiederhoeft for his Spring/Summer 2025 NYFW collection, MANIFESTO. Together, they created a one-of-a-kind, Look 16, which was dyed in the deep color of cabernet sauvignon.

Set against the finely aged backdrop of West Chelsea's 548 W 22nd Street gallery, Wiederhoeft’s runway show uncorked their latest creation dyed in the rich hues of Silver Oak wine. The centerpiece, a hand-embroidered salon corset, was crafted from double-faced silk satin stained with Silver Oak Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon. Reinforced with fully metal boning and finished with a lace-up back, the corset paired with a mid-calf wasp skirt, both adorned with intricate poppy motifs featuring beads, pebbles, and raffia. To achieve its perfect shade, the garment was twice immersed in wine — once from dawn until dusk, and then for an additional afternoon, ensuring its deep, flawless color.

The 2020 Silver Oak Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon features a blend of 95.2% Cabernet Sauvignon, 2.1% Merlot, 1.4% Cabernet Franc, 0.7% Petit Verdot, and 0.6% Malbec. Following its initial blending back in 2021, the wine aged for 24 months in Silver Oak’s own barrel making company, The Oak Cooperage. This precise process has resulted in a seamlessly integrated Cabernet that was uniquely perfect for dyeing the silk fabric.

This collaboration marks a transformative moment for Silver Oak, aligning with the brand's mission to champion the pursuit of mastery in not only winemaking but also beyond. Since 1972, Silver Oak has earned its place as a symbol of American winemaking excellence, known for its finely crafted Cabernet Sauvignons aged exclusively in American Oak barrels. Revered for creating complex yet consistent rich wines, the winery continues to lead the industry. Expanding their commitment to showcasing a true sense of place, Silver Oak now extends its expertise to the emerging designer and two-time CFDA finalist. Known for his craftsmanship and storytelling, Wiederhoeft embodies the artistry that Silver Oak seeks to support.
