Technological advancements and a shift in consumer behavior have paved the way for a new era in the event planning industry, putting the days of one-dimensional celebrations behind us. The focus is now slowly shifting away from the event and zeroing in on the experience it delivers with an increasing number of people who prefer multi-sensory adventures that captivate the imagination and leave lasting impressions.

With a keen eye for innovation and a relentless drive to push boundaries, Coachella Party, a renowned Southern California-based photo entertainment enterprise, has become synonymous with creative experiences that push the boundaries of what is possible within the event industry.

Guided by celebrity and portrait photographer Laurent Groult and his wife Tatiana, Coachella Party has seamlessly shifted from the conventional booth to interactive and engaging concepts that elevate events into extraordinary celebrations.

A shining example of the company’s commitment to excellence hides in its ‘green screen’ expertise, adding a singular touch of modern technology into event planning. As Groult highlights, this tech allows for endless customization, whether transporting guests to a tropical beach or whisking them away to a futuristic cityscape for a product launch.

“We believe that every event is an opportunity to tell a story, and green screen technology empowers us to do just that in the most fun and immersive way possible,” Groult highlights. “Honestly, the sky is the limit here.”

An event at the San Diego Convention Center perfectly showcases Coachella Party’s innovative approach to green screen technology. With a superhero theme captivating the imaginations of the 4000 guests in attendance, Groult and his team transformed the venue into a metropolis straight out of a comic book.

Within the green screen setup, Groult reveals the preferred method is to cover both the floor and the wall with green fabric. “This enables us to place items such as benches or props on the floor. In turn, this creates a sense of depth that enables us to do full-body shots, unlike traditional green screens that typically only capture three-quarters of the body,” he explains.

And so this gave participants the freedom to stand, sit, lie down, or even pretend to paddle or soar above a skyline. The result was a series of stunning photos that captured the exhilarating feeling of flight, turning every guest into a superhero for the day.

However, in addition to the immersive green screen, Coachella Party offered a more traditional option for those who preferred it at the Convention. Groult explains that these participants can choose their backdrops and tailor their photo experiences according to their preferences.

“There’s nothing wrong with tradition, and we’re happy to accommodate anyone who prefers to do things the old-school way,” he says. “That said, our immersive green screen events have become hugely popular. I believe it creates a level of personalization and interaction that modern event-goers generally seek.”

The list of venues that Coachella Party has graced with its unique take on green screen experiences certainly doesn’t end with the San Diego Convention Center.

Another feather in the venture’s cap is the team's work on a mini Coachella on Coachella Grounds. Groult shares that his company has helped organize five different photo booth parties using immersive green screens with artists like One Republic and Chaka Khan - offering unparalleled fun to over a thousand attendees.

Considering the popularity of the ‘green screen events’ that Coachella Party has organized over the past years, one thing is certain: integrating such technology within the event planning industry holds limitless potential of just how far the industry can get.

The transformative nature of this technology has ushered in a new era—one that hasn’t just added an element of novelty but one-of-a-kind memories that last a lifetime.

As Groult says, “Green screen tech is a gateway to infinite possibilities. It allows us to transport our guests to any location, any world, and create experiences that are as memorable as they are unique, and I think few things can top that.”
