The fall programming series at the Southern California Institute of Architecture (SCI-Arc) is in full swing, and the learning opportunities are boundless. Following a monthslong calendar full of talks, book releases, and exhibitions held for free and open to the public, SCI-Arc plans to round out the season with six more lectures from experts in and around the architecture field.

On October 25th, Fulbright Scholar and Chief Architect at SALON, Alper Derinboğaz, will present Geospaces – Continuities Between Humans, Spaces, and the Earth, with regards to a methodology of design that is centered around empathy towards the planet. On November 8th, Alper Aytaç, Founder and Principal of Aytac Architects will present Topography. In the weeks following, luminaries David Hertz, Benedetta Tagliabue, Barbara Bouza, and Lucy McRae will speak to their various specializations within the field. These lectures come in tandem with another installation: through December 10th, the SCI-Arc Gallery will exhibit the work of David Eskenazi (M.Arch '13).

SCI-Arc, located in DTLA, ensures that those who can’t physically make the lectures may be able to witness them live via SCI-Arc’s Livestream and Facebook page.
