In celebration of Women’s History Month and the contributions made by women in both hip hop and fashion, Spotify hosted its first ever Feelin’ Myself Fashion show in LA which featured an awe-inspiring runway presentation from LIONNE by Latoia Fitzgerald, a special award ceremony honoring fashion icon, and influential female rapper Lil' Kim , and various breathtaking performances from the next generation of fashionable women in hip-hop.

The night presented a momentous event as the Women in HipHop Fashion Icon Award by Spotify’s Sulinna Ong, Global Head of Editorial, Carl Chery, Head of Urban Music, and Domo Wells, Editor of Culture Curation, was presented to Lil’ Kim, a pioneer and the face of women in hip-hop. Throughout her career Lil’ Kim has broken down barriers and opened doors, and kept them open for other women to flourish in such a male-dominated genre of music. Her influences span not only within music, but have transcended into fashion, as she is recognized for some of the most iconic looks in fashion history. LIONNE’s Latoia Fitzgerald also received the Women in Hip Hop Rising Designer Award.

The event began with an opening set from DJ Jadaboo, followed by an exhilarating performance from rapper BIA, who’s set list consisted of her hit songs, including “Whole Lotta Money.'' The runway show kicked off with appearances from some famous faces, including Doechii, Rubi Rose, and Baby Tate, all of which had shown their model struts on the catwalk wearing LIONNE’s fashionable looks. The audience was also provided with a special surprise performance from Baby Tate, who performed her hits “Hey, Mickey!” and “I Am.”

Guests witnessed the catwalk turn into a stage for the afterparty where rising sensation Coi Leray closed out the night with her chart-topping hits “Players” and “Blick Blick.”

Other notable guests that attended the event included Saucy Santana, Tinashe,  Karrueche Tran, Amber Wagner, Cleotrapa, Markell Washington, Brittany Sky, Maiya The Don, Pink Pantheress, and more.
