Epochal luxury jeweler Tiffany & Co has unveiled Blue Book 2023: Out of the Blue. The collection will be the inaugural Blue Book for Nathalie Verdeile, former Cartier creative director recruited to serve as vice president and artistic director for jewelry and high jewelry for Tiffany & Co. in 2021. The collection, which will debut in two phases over the next six months, honors the whimsical legacy of the late Jean Schlumberger. Each piece draws inspiration from the aquatic symbols which so dramatically informed Schlumberger’s work.

“With Blue Book 2023, we saw an opportunity to honor Jean Schlumberger’s legacy by giving new life to some of his most celebrated designs,” says Anthony Ledru, Chief Executive Officer at Tiffany & Co. “These creations have a distinct Schlumberger quality and personality to them, but the designs are all new. We are certain that he would have been as pleased with each masterpiece as we are.”

The summer segment of Out of The Blue–only the first half of the 2023 collection– will debut in seven distinct themes, each of which is aesthetically inspired by a unique sea dweller: Shell, Coral, Jellyfish, Pisces, Starfish, Sea Star, and Star Urchin.

Jean Schlumberger’s enchantment with the indefinite world of the deep sea, incorporated as a motif within Tiffany & Co.’s Blue Book 2023: Out of the Blue, continues to uphold Tiffany’s unchallenged legacy of exquisite quality while broadening the brand’s capacity for unprecedented creative change.
