Fine jeweler and founder of Uniform Objects David Farrugia has recently released the “Supernova” limited collection, an amalgamation of one-of-a-kind pieces of 18-karat gold and vintage diamonds. Inspired by the asteroid that wiped out dinosaurs and changed the world forever, this capsule includes large gemstones and a hand-carved mammoth crafted by a master artisan in Siberia. Other pieces include bull huggy earrings, a ram ring, a hippo ring, a Champagne Supernova Reflection chain made of champagne diamonds, and a Sapphire Supernova Reflection made up of Ceylon blue sapphires.

On his inspiration behind this capsule, designer David Farrugia says, "I wanted to push the envelope for what can be perceived as fine jewelry. Nothing in this collection is dainty or formal. The one-of-a-kinds we made for this collection have rare & precious stones but they can be worn for any occasion. Our carriage necklace is the ultimate example of causal extravagance. The 4.23ct Marquise Diamond Carriage Necklace has a subtle elegance that can be worn diamond out or towards the body if the wearer so chooses. We put our signature cluster of diamonds on the back for a more pared-down look. The idea for the Carriage necklace came about when I learned about Victorian Era Carriage Covers. Carriage Covers were golden balls meant to be worn over diamond earrings when riding on the train. I love this 'If you know you know' element. So chic."

Based in New York, Farrugia’s creations are essentially one-of-a-kind, running alongside a core collection that is available year-round.
