Versace debuted its Spring Summer 2024 show in Milan on September 22. The collection was inspired by confidence, urban life, and the vibrancy of youth and encompasses everything from fundamental wardrobe staples to bold evening attire. The heart of the collection was grounded in the Atelier’s expert craftsmanship, intricate corsetry, and impeccable tailoring.

In this collection, Versace continues to emphasize design principles. The use of contrast is a crucial aspect of the show: hard metal combined soft lace and bold checkerboard fabrics paired with precise embroidery. Innovative fabric techniques such as The Versace Contrasto checkerboard jacquard organic silk-blend duchesse, textural macramé, and RWS-certified ethically sourced wool crepe tweed highlight the Versace Contrasto. The brand’s iconic Baracco print is featured in a silk blend duchesse emboss as a border.

Continuing with the theme of adolescence, the collection uses primarily pastel colors such as Pastel Pink, Blue, Mint Green, and Pale Yellow, as well as soft tints of natural shades such as Light Sand and Pearl Gray. The colors and shapes of the clothing pay homage to the 60’s while the fabrics and materials add a contemporary touch. A youthful and playful touch is brought to the collection through the layering of tailored jackets, silk blouses, and mini shorts. Crisp and sleek silhouettes are seen throughout the collection. For the men’s looks, tapered jackets and shirts are juxtaposed with wide and flared pants.

The show included many distinguished models including Kendall Jenner, Gigi Hadid, Claudia Schiffer, Vittoria Ceretti, Natalia Bryant, Iris Law, and Precious Lee.
