“We got along like a house on fire,” [Dom Dolla](https://www.instagram.com/domdolla/) tells me of him and tour co-head, [Sonny Fodera](https://www.instagram.com/sonnyfodera/), as we sit at a bar nearby Sound Nightclub 10 minutes before showtime. It’s been a few months since Dom and I last spoke, and on this night he was timely ready for Halloween- costumed with a smile ear to ear despite some sleepless nights from this California weekend of the tour. The two Aussie’s met earlier this year when a fellow house-music-hero, Green Velvet, asked them to play B2B at Miami Music Week 2019. From that moment on, it was an obvious match made in dance music heaven. “We’re both sort of like oblivious labradors,” Dom states through a laugh. “\[My manager\] says we’re like dogs that have tails too powerful, smacking shit all the way through. We’re very much like that. Tall and oblivious.” Photo by: Paulette Ely ![Photo by: Paulette Ely](https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/56c346b607eaa09d9189a870/1572992884838-PQRXJM8EFCTKBLZBLZBJ/Flaunt_Dom.jpg) Photo by: [Paulette Ely](https://www.instagram.com/paulettely/) Their performance may have been labrodor-esque, equipped with tongues out from both boys when the beat would drop in the dirtiest of manners. That being said, their sets are also polished, as both artists know the other’s tracks like the back of their own hand. Sonny remixed Dom’s distinguished track, _Take It_, back in June of this year, and the response form house-music addicts made the co-headed American tour not only logical, but completely necessary. “I’m rolling into these gigs knowing that this is going to be sick… it’s wild,” says Dom as he sips his pint.  Photo by: Trevor Dean ![Photo by: Trevor Dean](https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/56c346b607eaa09d9189a870/1572992825326-K9J6X9HOCERDFO7PW15R/Flaunt_Dom+x+Sonny6.jpg) Photo by: [Trevor Dean](https://www.instagram.com/trevordeanphotos/) Not only was the Sunday night fiasco a Halloween party where heads quite literally rolled, it was also fashioned right before a release that we have all been waiting for. If you have been in the crowd of any house show this year, you have probably heard an extremely unique take on Dom’s song, _San Frandisco._ After personally dancing to this particular drop all too many times this past festival season, I have finally gotten the track I.D. that I have asked all of my DJ friends for. The Dom x Sonny show marked the last time I would hear this Walker and Royce _San Frandisco_ remix without the ability to play it in my uber home that night. Thank the holy spirit of house that it is available everywhere to stream now. Although our Halloween costumes are back in our closets and Dom and Sonny only have about a week left of their American tour, the vibe of that Sunday night will playback in all attendees heads for a while. To find two artists so perfectly aligned is almost unheard of, and the energy the duo omitted was more powerful than any drug that dancefloor may have scraped up on that night. This tour shows that the beauty of DJing is beyond oneself, and the power of collaboration between the boys fosters some of the most cohesive crowd control America has ever seen.
