Everybody likes to think they’re a DJ, especially when you’re throwing a party for a hundred of your closest friends in your backyard (or these days on Twitch). Beatsource is making it possible for any aspiring bedroom DJ to rock the decks like Lil Jon with their new VIP Crates program, an exclusive series of playlists created by the world’s most influential DJs—available now via the company’s Beatsource Link subscription service. The first of the VIP Crates series features custom curated sets from Lil Jon, Justin Bieber’s tour DJ Tay James, Craig David, Major Lazer’s Walshy Fire, and many others.
DJ A-TRAK is one musical luminary behind the new series. He states, “DJing is more than keeping up with the newest releases and knowing the classics. Every DJ has their own personal go-to’s, tracks that never leave the crates even though they never charted. Being able to tap into that with a subscription is huge.”
Beatsource’s head of curation Kidd Spin states, “Clubs and live shows are far and few between these days, so there’s virtually no way to know what your favorite DJs are currently into or being influenced by. VIP Crates gives insight into what top tastemaker DJs are feeling right now.”
