Colorado based young cannabis lifestyle brand Blazy Susan has revolutionized the lifestyle industry of weed. It’s breakthrough innovations like the lazy Susan inspired accessories organizer and pink rolling papers have gained a reputation as an industry disrupter, and is constantly evolving within that vein of stylish and fun products.
_Flaunt_ had the opportunity to speak with investor-turned-entrepreneur Will Breakell about ritual and ceremonies, the Colorado cannabis space and the Blazy experience.
**What is special about the Colorado cannabis space ?**
The Colorado cannabis space is special because it's really one of the epicenters of the legal cannabis scene not only in the US, but worldwide. Since cannabis became legalized for recreational use (and even before), people have travelled far and wide to consume here and partake in the culture. It's the center of weed tourism in America. The natural beauty of the state only adds to that special feeling...there really is magic (and lots of smoke) in the Colorado air.
**Why do we need rituals and ceremonies in our day to day ?**
Rituals and ceremonies in our day to day help us create purpose, pride, and community in our lives. By putting intention and value into our day to day routines, we're signalling to our communities and to the universe that "this is meaningful to me" - kind of like buying a vinyl record, even though you could just download the album. Rituals and ceremonies give us something to look forward to, and allow us to be fully present in whatever we're doing.
**What sort of drink—alcoholic or otherwise—might you pair with a Blazy experience ?**
There's a few favorites over here. Lately, we've been stocking up on some crazy exotic sodas from our friends over at It's a Bodega here in Denver. We've really been enjoying the crazy flavors of Fanta they have. If we're talking alcoholic beverages, we enjoy the occasional Modelo paired with a Blazy joint after a long work week.
**What are you looking forward to for the company?**
So many things. We're really just looking forward to seeing where this all takes us. We've come such a far way in the last few years... it's really unbelievable. We love watching the community that surrounds Blazy continue to grow and connect. We're also thrilled to expand our charity initiatives and get more involved with organizations we've partnered with such as The Lynn Sage Foundation and One Tree Planted to make an even bigger impact in the years to come. Blazy Susan has brought so much joy to so many people, and we want to continue to grow and expand our reach to bring more fun and happiness to everyone!
