The artist explores love, loss and longing through a group of large-scale paintings and a series of poignant gouaches created in her London home. Emin depicts the bittersweet nature of unconditional love and the domesticity of catharsis and consolation. Drawing upon her own memories and emotions, the works address the difference between physical intimacy and passion, sex and desire. Tracey Emin, There Was A Moment, 2019.
