Swiss watchmaking manufacturer Roger Dubuis has joined forces with renowned tattoo artist Dr. Woo to release a new watch, The Excalibur Dr. Woo Monotourbillon, incorporating influences from both the brand and the artist in the newest take on a classic design.
Dr. Woo is the first of three artists from the Roger Dubuis x Urban Art Tribe partnership to create a watch for the collection. The artists will be tasked with creating a new astrological interpretation of the timeless Excalibur Monotourbillon design. With sapphire dials displaying a starship journey design by Woo, as well as a second dial displaying Dr. Woo’s version of time, represented as a cosmic map, the Excalibur watch is the perfect blend of high tech development and artistic creativity.
The Excalibur Dr. Woo Monotourbillon watch is handmade with titanium and cobalt chrome, both of which are anti-magnetic. The watch’s case is made with EON Gold, a patented pink gold alloy that is more tarnish-resistant than standard pink gold. As part of the Excalibur Original collection, the watch’s design features new improvements and innovative technology, such as an increased power reserve that lasts 72 hours.
