Yesterday, April 21, Fana Hues released the new video for her song "Yellow", filmed in Northern California with all of her close friends. This video follows her buzz-stirring debut collection _Hues_, staying in line with the sonically moody trances, funky bass lines, and delicate strings—a thorough reflection on the complexity of human emotion.
“I thought it was super important for me as a Black woman to be open about that because so many times I feel like I'm not allowed to express my emotions,” Fana says. “I’m kind of all over the place, but there’s always a method to the madness; it’s all centered; it all has a purpose.” She notes, "I want this visual to be a deep sigh of relief after a dark time. I want you to feel the rays of light only your homegirls can give you."
Coming from a big musical family of mostly women, the singer is making a name for herself by defining her powerhouse vocals over entrancing, soulful production. Establishing her vulnerabilities as her source of power.
