With a name like [Dreamer Boy](https://www.instagram.com/dreamerboyblue/?hl=en), you can already imagine what his music might sound like. Hailing from Spokane, Washington, real name Zach Taylor is here to shake up the music industry with his self-proclaimed “cowboy pop,” feel-good ballads, and relatable lyrics that the masses can’t help but gravitate to. After moving to Tennessee to attend college, Dreamer Boy unveiled his debut project titled _Love, Nostalgia,_ collaborating with his friends in Nashville.
Now on the heels of the success of recent singles “Know You” and “Crybaby,” Dreamer Boy returns with the official music for “Don’t Be a Fool,” premiered exclusively today on _Flaunt_. The new single carries a smooth lo-fi beat as you hear Dreamer Boy’s warm voice pairing with ethereal pedal steel guitar chords. Inspired directly by Dreamer Boy’s own experiences of falling in love with someone who had no idea of his feelings, the lyrics tell the story of his own frustration in not taking initiative to pursue the romance. The heartfelt track showcases the raw and earnest storytelling that fans have come to expect from Dreamer Boy, proving his staying power as an artist to watch for 2021 and beyond.
Carrying his standout Nashville influences, Dreamer Boy states, “I want people to feel a spirit of courage to step out in love. I wanted the video to be sort of a dream in the hills of Tennessee—there’s something about the landscapes, scenery, and animals that captures the feeling of being here in the fall.”
