[TERN Gallery](https://www.terngallery.com) presents the work of [John Beadle](https://www.instagram.com/j1beadle/?hl=en) in a new exhibition in the Bahamas, _Splinters and Shards_. Considered a seminal artist of the Nassau scene, Beadle warps and carves the original forms of mahogany and to create intricate eye-provoking sculptures.
On his inspiration to fuse manmade and natural materials, Beadle says, “It’s the dance for me; the dance between the manmade and the natural. Creating a relationship that is in conflict and, in another instance, cordial. I love that tension. I also love the idea that the manmade can be affected by nature in such a way as to make it seem of nature—in harmony with the natural… In the end, I am reaching for an interesting relationship between materials—tension and harmony is definitely a part of the equation.”
The exhibit runs from December 11, 2021 to January 22, 2022.
