On May 6th, ethereal Instrumentalist and Singer Kelsey Lu invited LA natives and friends to a musical paradise with the support of Red Bull Music. The gathering was a fellowship with Kelsey Lu, who performed a selection of enchanting hymns from her upcoming debut record. The album was conceptualized by Kelsey as a means to celebrate POC creatives/partners in every facet of its creation.
Guests of the evening were welcomed into a charming cottage atop Mulholland Drive. The home, befitting the theme of the record, was built by the first certified African-American architect west of the Mississippi, Paul Williams. Upon entering the magnificently crafted home, the audience was literally ushered into a grass-floored chapel equipped with pews and a stage for the preacher and choir. This time, the message was been brought forth by Kelsey Lu.
The modelesque singer weaved and bopped in a color blocking 50's mod look styled by frequent collaborators [Mindy Le Brock](http://mindylebrock.com/) and Lady SoulFly. Also in tune with the record, all garments for Kelsey Lu and her accompanying orchestra were sourced exclusively from African designers.
