[Tanya Bonakdar Gallery](https://www.tanyabonakdargallery.com/), Los Angeles, is presenting [_Amplifier_](https://www.tanyabonakdargallery.com/exhibitions/601-lisa-williamson-amplifier-tanya-bonakdar-gallery-los-angeles/)_,_ the first solo show by Lisa Williamson at the gallery. The exhibition will showcase new wall-based works by the artist, as wells as “compressions” of landscape and portraiture, mixing architecture and time. Associative, optical, and resonant, Williamson plays with proportions and scales with a sensitivity for space that is both intimate and concretized.
The show opens on Saturday, June 5 and will run through July 17, 2021.

For the last decade, Lisa Williamson has studied sculpture and the formal considerations of the art to create works that are visually precise, physically resonant, and attuned to the spaces in which they are exhibited. Regarding calibration as a mode of production, and taking into account color and surface space, the artist continues to blur the line between painting and sculpture, language and object.
