With production from Hop Along guitarist Joe Reinhart, the breezy tune marks a sonic next step for Loose Buttons while maintaining the light-hearted accessibility of [last year's debut LP](https://flaunt.com/content/loosebuttons).  While the song's lyrics resonantly take stock of the anxieties that come with chasing a dream, the accompanying music video (directed by Austin Withers) sets them stylishly across a nostalgia-seeped 90’s roller rink landscape. An indie rock meets Rocket Power splash that feels just right for those final nights of summer. The full new album _What's On Outside_ arrives October 22.  "I started working on these lyrics around the time sports were starting back up again. I’d find myself thinking about those guys who bounce around the minors for years and never quite crack the big leagues," says lead singer Eric Nizgretsky. "This was also around the time every show was getting cancelled, so everything was a bit dark and there were natural comparisons to be made. But despite that, there's something that drives those career minor leaguers to keep the dream alive and keep on going.” He continues, “At the end of the day, even the minor leagues are better than whatever else is out there. That's the energy we were trying to channel with this one. For the video, we found an old roller hockey rink 3 hours outside the city, the closest one willing to have us, and had a blast skating around in the middle of nowhere until 5AM having the best time—all directed and shot by our great friend Austin Withers."
