Louis Vuitton’s Virgil Abloh is updating the current clothing line, Vocabulary According to Virgil Abloh, with the latest Fall Winter 2019 Pre-fall Collection. Abloh has recognized the fundamental purpose of the essentials needed in every everyone’s personal collection of clothes. The collections theme: boyhood. His idea was to reflect on the idea of protective clothing for a boy in the first stage of his life.

Creating a sense of the past, present and future, the pre collection pays homage to the colours, designs and shapes of everyday uniforms in Japan. Items such as windbreakers, shirts and t-shirts portray jackets worn in remote controlled boating competitions. Trench coats and parkas are fabricated in navy Japanese rain coating.

Along with clothes, the collection consists of bags adapted from the spring/summer 2019 collection. A flat tote and a crossbody messenger. Chalk bags, mini crossbody bags and backpacks implying to those used for extreme sports. Additionally, sneakers are enhanced with jewels and neon detailing.
