Louis Vuitton’s first ever Men’s Summer Capsule Collection will launch this Friday, March 19th. This capsule collection brings color to summer 2021 from dawn to dusk. From pastel-colored suits and Hawaiian shorts and shirts, through Japanese denims and monogrammed watercolor cottons, to light blue short suits and indigo pajamas. The wardrobe conveys a sense of the infinite – a recurrent theme in Virgil Abloh’s collections - modeled by the American rapper 21 Savage who casually highlights the West Coast skaters and artists.
The brand has committed to having a complete eco-design strategy by 2025. Starting with this collection, the colors were conceived without chlorine or metals, the cottons used are certified by the Better Cotton Initiative (BCI) or the Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) and the wool of some of the designs by the Responsible Wool Standard (RWS), while other fabrics were recycled, including the nylon of windbreakers.
