With months of lazing around, so comes plenty of time to look back and take your current trajectory into consideration. That’s what Mara Hoffman did when deciding not to produce a FW20 collection. Instead, she took a look at the heap of clothes in her inventory, and understood her duty in her industry. Now, she hopes to move towards an ethos of presenting what is already going on at Mara Hoffman rather than what is to come.
She embraced the chaos of the past months, and injected it into the collection. Born out of the idea of piecing things together, she photographed the pieces in her home and collaged them with shots of nature and sentimental objects. It is a collection meant for now, not for later.
