With over a decade in the music industry, Marc E Bassy has been continuously creating compelling contemporary R&B hits, captivating close to 4 million listeners on Spotify. His breakout track “You & Me” featuring his good friend and fellow Bay Area Native G-Eazy has accumulated over 300 million streams on Spotify alone, rewarding him with his first platinum single. After launching his own record label, New Gold Medal, he has grown into his own sound free of creative limitations, giving a new definition to slow jams.
After releasing his latest project PMD (Postmodern Depression) earlier this year, Bassy returns with his emotionally rich music video for “NASCAR” directed by Bobby Hanaford. The video begins with a monologue from actress, Bria Vinaite who starred in _The Florida Project_ and turns into a dissection of the “classic American love story,” depicting the highs and lows of a relationship that will inevitably fail. Bassy describes his vision of his video saying, “_The NASACAR video was about using the idea of running away – the car is just a symbol for that escape. Bria starred in my favorite film of the last few years so it was an honor to have her be a part of it.”_
