The exhibition will be on view until November 18, 2020. The exhibition's main focus is the sky which occupies the majority of the space in her paintings. The sky is accompanied by small figures in isolated spaces amongst a misty fog. The paintings, all done by Rioux in the last 2 years, resonate with feelings surrounding social distancing due to the isolated figures in her work. Rioux’s goal is to invite viewers to place themselves within the painting and contemplate the context of their place in a large world. The imaginary territories Rioux creates are meant to transform realities. It is essential to Rioux that her paintings are seen as enigmatic and that viewers process them in their own way. ![](https://cdn.prod.website-files.com/62ee0bbe0c783a903ecc0ddb/6472d13e9dd6d4b6fed85d3e_image-asset.jpeg) marie-rioux-silence-silence.jpg ![marie-rioux-silence-silence.jpg](https://cdn.prod.website-files.com/62ee0bbe0c783a903ecc0ddb/6472d13e9dd6d4b6fed85d36_marie-rioux-silence-silence.jpeg)
