Piaget unveils the world’s thinnest mechanical hand-wound watch, the Altiplano Ultimate Concept. The Altiplano Ultimate Concept, developed by the Piaget “Research and Innovation” division, set a record as the world’s thinnest mechanical hand-wound watch at just 2mm thick, which pays tribute to the historical movement of the same size -Calibre 9P.
This ultra slender aesthetic stems from four years of research and development and involved a team of three engineers in order to achieve the world’s thinnest watch.
As one of the world’s most prestigious watchmakers, this model represents a success in miniaturization and continues to push the boundaries of micro mechanics.
