Richard Orlinski x Hublot | "Born Wild – Los Angeles" Debut at Art Angels

Artist Richard Orlinski is inviting his audience to travel back in time to life’s primordial beginnings with his eagerly awaited “Born Wild – Los Angeles” exhibition. Orlinski’s L.A. debut will take place at an exclusive event at Art Angels on Wednesday, April 13th, and will be open for public viewing in the two weeks following.

This time-altering exhibit of avant-garde animal sculptures effectively couples archaism and modernism. The artist’s collection serves as a magnification of violent mannerisms present in nature—an often evaded component of Earth’s beauty.

In addition to the already enticing exhibit, Orlinski’s collaboration with the Swiss luxury watchmaking brand, Hublot, will be on display at Art Angels as well. The co-founders of Art Angels, Kat Emery and Jacquelin Napal, express that “[Orlinski’s] collaboration with Hublot is a unique route in sculpture as it marks the advent of wearable art marrying the timelessness of the Swiss luxury watchmaker and Orlinski’s signature Pop Art-derived designs.”

Orlinski’s latest creations will be Art Angels’ first in-person event since the genesis of COVID-19. Despite the innovation of virtual galleries and exhibitions, “Born Wild'' is an exhibit that engages the senses. An in-person viewing is certainly recommended to capture the entire essence of Orlinski’s masterpieces.

Overall, Orlinski’s exhibition is an amalgamation of old meets new—a concept that is often recycled in artistic expression. What sets the French artist apart from redundancy is his aptness towards the seamless blending of neo-pop art and sculpture. Combining eras is a daunting feat, yet “Born Wild'' is a testament that it can be reinvented in a manner that is both fresh and renowned.
