Sète-Los Angeles | Honoring Agnès Varda's Legacy
Less than a year after her passing, Agnès Varda’s legacy will be recognized at a show inspired by and honoring her life and work. [_Sète-Los Angeles_](https://www.show.gallery/setela) will welcome 27 artists from the Sète in the South of France and Los Angeles, two of the places Varda lived and worked, to connect these two cities through their work. Part of a joint event, this past September Sète hosted LA-based artists for a month-long series. Now, the show turns to Los Angeles to do the same, inviting these artists to exhibit their works at SHOW Gallery in Hollywood and SoHo House West Hollywood.  This event began to come together when curator Yann Perreau met with some of the artists of Varda’s 1981 film _Mur Murs (Mural Murals)_. One of those artists was close friend Barbara Carrasoco, who has reproduced part of her Varda memorial mural behind SHOW Gallery in Los Angeles. Also on the roster of artists is Eddie Ruscha, Kim Gordon, and much more. Curated by Yann Perreau and Margot Ross, _Sète-Los Angeles_ will be on view through December 31, 2019. * * * SHOW Gallery | 1515 N Gardner Street SoHo House, by appointment | 9200 Sunset Blvd
