Time Warp ends its two-year hiatus with a return to New York on November 19-20. Marking the momentous occasion, they’ve called upon the brightest stars in house and techno to help soundtrack its two days of audiovisual splendor.
Pillars of the festival’s artist community reclaim their places atop the bill. Ricardo Villalobos, whose appearances stateside have been tied exclusively to Time Warp, is set to rejoin the bill alongside Tyrant founder Craig Richards. Ostgut Ton figureheads Ben Klock and Marcel Dettman are also slated for a special edition back-to-back—another stateside rarity. together Richie Hawtin, who’s played the festival for the past quarter decade, plus Nina Kraviz, Seth Troxler, Pan-Pot, and Âme round out the list of longtime Time Warp veterans.
Newer additions to the lineup this year include techno heavyweights Paula Temple, Kobosil, and Reinier Zonneveld, who will bring his full live kit to the show. Melodic titan Stephan Bodzin and KiNK will also grace Time Warp with live performances. Finally, the festival pays homage to its New York homebase with the likes of Avision, Mink, Desna, and Shahar comprising its local talent.
Time Warp will be hosted by its longtime USA partners Teksupport, who facilitated its New York debut in 2014 for its 20th anniversary edition. Its 25th anniversary celebration followed in 2019, breaking new ground as the first underground dance music event to take place in the Bronx.
After a long break, all stops will be pulled for Time Warp’s USA restoration, including immersive stage setups imported from its flagship German event in addition to brand news ones making their way into the fold. Sound will also be held to the highest standard, as is tradition with the powerhouse event.
