Toots and the Maytals’ legendary reggae track gets a fresh makeover today with the release of the Samantha Ronson and Pete Nappi remix (along with a news filled video created by Henry Stein). The late musician's original track comes off of Toots and the Maytals [_Got To Be Tough_](https://toots.lnk.to/GotToBeTough), released in August of last year on Trojan Jamaica/BMG. Shortly after release, Toots Hibbert passed away due to COVID=19 complications. Yet, his legacy lives on, with _Got To Be Tough_ nominated for Best Reggae Album at the 2021 Grammy Awards this Sunday.
"Toots was a giant and his music will live on, longer than all of us, and we are honored to have been asked to contribute to this project.... especially now! Considering the current political climate, maybe we should stand outside the capitol building in DC blasting this?” said Samantha Ronson.
