Get ready to LOL until your sides hurt as Nurse Blake brings his wildly popular Shock Advised comedy tour back to stages across America. The viral comic’s forthcoming U.S. leg will conclude a 150-city tour run, set to kick off on September 28th.

Blake Lynch, or as he’s more commonly known, Nurse Blake, has become a name that reverberates through the halls of comedy and beyond. “I'm like Taylor Swift, but the nurse version,” he jokes. “We are busy, we tour, we create memories. No, but in all honesty, I love the audience and their reaction.”

It’s clearly the fuel that has kept him booked and busy with over a year of solid touring. “I received a lot of comments about doing more shows from my fanbase, and anytime I can see more nurses and make them laugh, I am all for it.”

As a former critical care nurse who now runs a budding empire of global touring, content creation, children’s books, his own magazine, and various educational resources available through his website, Nurse Blake continues to use success as a means to support the community that has done so much to support him.

It’s the very community that flocks to any stage - or social platform - where Blake can be found for his relatable, quick-witted humor that has a way of making us feel less alone. A community that, like most people in current times, often feel overwhelmed by the struggles and despair present in daily life, not to mention the state of the world.

When it comes to live comedy shows, Blake thrives on the audience’s reaction. “No one in the audience will be safe, so get ready to be shocked,” he jokes of his upcoming tour run. “You are not going to know what to expect.” So what can we expect? “High energy, lots of laughs, and a lot of roasting.”

The unexpected nature of Blake’s comedic genius is what seems to have unfolded his extremely unique journey, taking him from the demanding halls of nursing to viral social media stardom and the spotlight of comedy. This year Blake reached a new milestone when he joined the likes of Chelsea Handler and Chris Rock for his debut performance at the Netflix is a Joke Festival in Los Angeles.

“It was just really cool to be  part of a festival with so many other talented and accredited comedians,” Blake says of the experience. “While our comedy might be geared towards different audiences, we all have the same goal to make people laugh. Huge shoutout to Netflix for bringing us all together!”

The proud gay comedian has also been very vocal about his experience with an intense exodus program he endured during high school, where he was sent by his parents in an attempt to change his sexuality through religious reform. Still, Blake continues to laugh his way to the gay bank and has become a role model and source of inspiration for countless others. “I am very open with my audience about who I am, especially being a part of the LGBTQ+ community,” Blake explains. “I once had a fan who came to one of my shows with both his parents and ended up coming out to them. After seeing how supportive his parents were of my content and who I am, he decided that since I am gay and they were a fan of me, that maybe his parents would still love him too.”

That’s exactly what happened, and it is a powerful example of the effect of Nurse Blake’s comedy in the world. His performances transcend mere entertainment, serving as a vibrant celebration of diversity with a commitment to expression of self-pride.

Beyond the stage, Blake's social media presence has connected him with a global audience of more than four-million followers and over 400 million views. His TikTok and Instagram videos, initially a coping mechanism for the stresses of his nursing job, have evolved into a platform for sharing laughter, spreading awareness, and inspiring others.

This past April, Blake set sail for his annual NurseCon at Sea experience, which is a groundbreaking event that unites over 3,000 nurses and features special appearances by renowned Drag Queens including RuPaul’s Drag Race alum Ginger Minj, Ra'Jah O'Hara, and Denali Foxx. Tickets for the 2025 cruise to the Bahamas are already on sale!

Now, Nurse Blake is gearing up for the home stretch of his long-running Shocked Advised comedy tour, which will travel to 45 U.S. cities through early December. Whether you're a longtime fan or new to his work, this tour is sure to leave you laughing, inspired, and perhaps a little roasted.
