If you could create your own superpower, what would it be? If I could create my own superpower it would have to be the ability to manipulate people’s free will. I understand that with great power comes great responsibility but systematic racism has got to go. As well as homophobia, islamophobia, sexism, etc. I’d control our government officials to pass legislation in favor of basic human rights that benefit EVERYONE, not just those at the top of the patriarchy. I’m tired of having these elementary conversations about why people should care about people other than themselves. I’d actively try and reconstruct the system that has failed the people it claims to protect.
Something I feel is often misunderstood about me is the fact that I can be confident and insecure at the same time. I am well aware that I am the shit but within that confidence I own my insecurities. People often mistake me talking about my insecurities as me having a lack of confidence. In actuality I am merely aware of the parts of myself that I do not necessarily like. But I LOVE myself and everything that has been packaged in it.
When do you feel powerful?
I feel powerful when I prove myself wrong, and best myself. When I overcome my self-doubt and do what I thought could not be done, I feel like I can do anything, and I can.
What are three things that make you feel fortunate? Three things that make me feel fortunate are my mom, my friends, and the fact that I’m still living.
