[Dr. Jessica Mack](https://www.instagram.com/morethanmeatlessmonday/) is a retired Occupational Therapist, certified personal trainer, and lifestyle expert. She is also a trained chef, content creator, and food blogger. Jessica has created a unique food empire, where she teaches and shows the world that ‘meatless recipes’ are enjoyable, easy to prepare and above all, nourishing and satisfying.
She is a former Occupational Therapist from Quinnipiac University in Hamden, CT, obtained a _Master of Science_ in Counseling, and holds a post-graduate certificate in _Educational Leadership and Policy_ from Long Island University (LIU) in Brookville, NY. Additionally, she has a clinical Doctoral Degree from Temple University in Philadelphia, PA.
[Dr. Jessica](https://www.facebook.com/morethanmeatlessmonday/) was diagnosed with two life-threatening illnesses, and could no longer practice as a clinician. She made the difficult decision to retire after almost two decades of working with people of all ages and abilities.
During this trying moment, her passion for cooking inspired her to start a food blog called [“More than Meatless Monday.”](https://morethanmeatlessmonday.com/) Dr. Jessica has always loved cooking and baking (in fact, she frequently incorporated her culinary arts into therapy sessions). Being a ‘picky eater' when she was young, she avoided meat and, throughout her college days, began searching magazines and books looking for recipes. Jessica has invested most of her time creating a variety of plant-based recipes for her loyal followers.
Dr. Jessica utilized social media platforms to share her culinary skills and food photography with her audience. These platforms became a convenient and effective way for Jessica to share cooking tips and recipes—especially in 2020 when most of her audience was at home cooking and eating. Jessica’s content caught the attention of many people who started sharing her recipes and looking for more ways to incorporate meatless meals into their weekly plans. Today, she has a massive following on her accounts of [IG](https://www.instagram.com/drjessicamack/), Instagram, [YouTube](https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCua9EI7ccv8u25CS2Nr7dwA), and [Facebook](https://www.facebook.com/morethanmeatlessmonday/). She tempts her followers with her spectacular meatless recipes that even meat-eaters can't resist.
Dr. Jessica attributes her strength to her "omnivore" husband, who has supported her all through and loves her vegetarian meals. Her daughter Calleigh is her greatest joy and blessing and gave her reason to fight for her health. Jessica is also grateful for the robust support system from her family, friends, and online community. Dr. Jessica has contributed recipes to Dr. Oz's blog and sharecare.org website. She also appeared on radio shows, such as _WGBB_ and _Sirius/XM's The Doctors Show._ Dr. Jessica has appeared on Emmy's award-winning daytime shows like "The Dr. Oz Show," "The Katie Couric Show," and the “Lifestyle Today Show”.
Jessica plans to continue to educate people about her [vegetarian recipes](https://morethanmeatlessmonday.com/indexes/recipe-index/). She looks forward to producing a cookbook, starting her own cooking show, and producing a line of cookware. Jessica offers [virtual cooking classes](https://www.airsubs.com/pros/jessica-mack) and hopes to appear on more shows. In addition, she is available for catering services, meal preparations, and food delivery.
"Earlier in my food blogging career, I wish that I knew not to overthink the process and to start creating content. I want to share that meatless meals can be served more than simply on 'Meatless Monday' as I reach out to more people as a food blogger, content creator, and a chef", Jessica concludes.
