Passive Lil Uzi Vert fans may have been surprised by the drop but loyal listeners know that Uzi’s _Luv is Rage 2_ album debuted at No. 1, beating out XXXTentacion’s newly released _17_. Along with this new great achievement came the long-awaited music video for "XO Tour Llif3."
Filmed with modern high definition cameras, along with old camcorders and their added visual effects, Lil Uzi Vert takes us on another trip through his inner thoughts. This trip is led by Virgil Abloh, a DJ, fashion designer, and creative director who is known for his work with Jay-Z, Kanye West, and his Milan based Off-White brand. Beyond Uzi’s sparkling fashion taste, he keeps his viewers by his side by showing them his world.
The video featuring classic hip-hop shots of party goers, bling, and weed. The video takes a quick turn as Uzi enters and the song flows into the chorus with his lyrics "All my friends are dead / Push me to the edge" actually showing us his "dead friends." Close ups of zombies and pools of blood are met with shots of the Weeknd and NAV, surprise appearances for all of us.
