The single comes off of the band’s series of albums, _Romance, Science Fiction with Acid,_ and _Persona,_ which will be released concurrently on October 29th. An innovative and ambitious approach to album releases, the three bodies of work follow different themes within Jeff and Imaad’s work. _Romance_ kicks off the series with dream-like, feverish experimental soundscapes and lyrics inspired by the duet’s poetry book, _Today in Space._ On the homonymous single, ACID states, “With ‘Romance’ we wanted something kind of epic, dark, and woozy. It’s really just a list of simple things that draw us together, seeped in danger, distortion and beauty. For the video, Austin captured the simplicity of it all, arraigned in stark black and white, dreamily floating around as if in a romantic daze.” Next is _Science Fiction with Acid_, which features out of this world waltzes that capture the album’s space-like atmosphere. Inspired by the likes of Prince and The Smiths and concepts such as CIA mind control and alien abduction, the album is rich with fugue-like, “slightly schizophrenic” production that takes listeners into the ether. The last album in the trilogy, _Persona_ will feature darker industrial instrumentals, ones that bring listeners “past romance, beyond science fiction, into a brightened corner humming with clouded revelations and illicit behavior.” The album is perfectly imperfect, incorporating sounds like a falling guitar or mistakes on the piano to evoke the reckless, raunchy energy of the series finale. The three albums will be available to purchase individually on LP, or together on Narnack Records as a part of a limited edition box set, aptly titled, “ACID BOX.” The box set further envelops listeners into the ACID universe, uniquely designed to be able to plug into an amplifier. After being connected, any touch to the box’s surface will result in mysterious and experimental instrumentals. The box set comes with all three albums on a glow-in-the-dark vinyl as well as a laser pen and a limited edition poster to further create not just a body of work, but an experience. ![](https://cdn.prod.website-files.com/62ee0bbe0c783a903ecc0ddb/6472d88b92161e4282d60385_ACID%2Boslo.jpeg)
