In the online re-imagination of Tribeca’s Film Festival, new explorations of media and technology appeared. This included an entire program dedicated to 360 immersive cinema which debuted to the world, Enrique Agudo’s. immersive VR film The Pantheon of Queer Mythology.
With a background in architecture, Agudo’s process and practice is attuned to the manner in which things are constructed. In this short film, he explores the innate anthropological parts of identity and sexuality. The surreal imagery and environments mirror what it means to move, the complexities of finding oneself. The intersection of fashion within the advanced digitization of the models weaves captivating and interactive storytelling, both in the making and the experience.
Beyond the rich experience, Pantheon of Queer Mythology is a visual language for Queers and Queer allies of tomorrow.

“This film is a way to self examine the roles we play, how to empathize with others, celebrate the ironies, or repent from ambiguities by reflecting through these chapters that illustrate stories of resistance, consumption, solitude, identity, resilience, and love, in the hope to identify more broadly, to identify more specifically, to care more personally, and to respect more lovingly.”
