_XX_, an exhibition featuring female Latinx artists working with geometric abstraction, will open at LatchKey Gallery (323 Canal Street, New York) today, March 23, and will run til May 2, 2021. With this exhibition, the featured artists physically and metaphorically join the contemporary conversation, forcing us to recognize they are, and will be, occupying space.
Beverly Acha, C.J. Chueca, Edra Soto, Ivelisse Jimenez, Marisol Martinez, and Victoria Martinez aim to join in on the social and cultural shifts to close historical gaps of visual representation. XX works towards the inclusion of female Latinx artists working in abstraction.
