Portland’s psych-dream rock group [The Shivas](https://www.instagram.com/theshivas/?hl=en) release their new music video for “If You See Me.” Directed by Yr First Crush and starring Kristin Leonard, the video is a collage of starry-eyed nostalgia, soothing loneliness, and rattling grief. Following this track, The Shivas will be releasing their new LP _Dark Thoughts_ October 25th on Tender Loving Empire.
Kristin Leonard examines the conception and significance of the new single: “I wrote ‘If You See Me’ on a drive on that tour, in the backseat of the van. It was a good way to escape and it all spilled out in less than an hour. I didn’t have any intention of anyone hearing or reading it, and no intentions of it becoming a Shivas song. Jared encouraged me to use it because he loved it, and I thought it was constructive to talk about mental health, to help normalize a taboo subject that impacts all of our lives to some degree”
