Celine debuted their 2023 Women's Winter collection, Age of Indieness, at the iconic Wiltern Theatre on Dec. 8th. With the mind of creative director Hedi Slimane rock-n-roll indie-sleaze was reborn: black sunglasses, buckle bags, biker boots, faux fur jackets, thin scarves, skinny jeans, and loose-fitting sequined gowns paraded down the runway to 'Hello Operator' by the White Stripes. After the last model closed the catwalk, live performances began from artists such as Iggy Pop, The Strokes, Interpol, and a DJ set by The Kills for the attendees, which consisted of Austin Butler, Doja Cat, Courtney Cox, Miles Teller, and more. Since its opening the Wiltern has housed performances by Prince, Bob Dylan, The Rolling Stones, Lou Reed, and Amy Winehouse- its history of rock-n-roll compliments the indie-rock aesthetic that accompanied this show. If the 2023 Women's Winter collection says anything, it's that glamour is not lost upon Celine.
