Charli xcx and Troye Sivan’s SWEAT tour with special guest Shygirl is a novelty, a phenomenon that extends far beyond the confines of concert venues and into the broader cultural zeitgeist.

While last night’s concert in Seattle marked the end of the SWEAT tour, Charli xcx and Sivan’s dynamic performances have enraptured party girls and rager teenagers across the country. The SWEAT tour’s 22-city run attracted nearly 300,000 fans.

For their Los Angeles performances at the Kia Forum, Charli xcx and Sivan welcomed other celebrities to the stage. Combining their unmatched stage presences, pop singer Kesha and Charli xcx sung their newly released remix of “Spring Breakers,” off of the BRAT collaboration album. Sivan then joined Kesha in performing a rendition of her 2010 dance song “TiK ToK.” Singer and dancer Tate McCrae also made a surprise appearance, dueting with Sivan on their 2021 single “You.” One of the most viral moments of the SWEAT tour came when social media star Vinnie Hacker joined Sivan onstage for “One of Your Girls,” lounging in a chair as Sivan gave him a seductive lap dance. 

Beyond the vibrance of Charli and Sivan’s performances, the SWEAT tour featured flashy wardrobe ensembles as well as innovative lighting and set designs. Charli donned custom pieces from luxury brands like Rodarte, Jimmy Choo, Kyriacos, Mugler and Acne Studios while Sivan strutted in clothes from Prada, Star Cat and Gucci. Strobe lights, industrial-style scaffolding and a cage-like catwalk evoked the sensuality of an underground nightclub, a fitting backdrop for hits like “Club classics,” “Guess” and “Rush.” Apart from devoted fans, a range of celebrities attended the concerts. VIPs like Malia and Sasha Obama, Christina Aguilera, Katy Perry, Renee Rapp and Kaia Gerber joined the electric atmosphere. 

The popularity of the SWEAT tour led to the creation of a dedicated Instagram account chronicling highlights from each performance. Fans have flocked to the comments begging Charli and Sivan for another leg of SWEAT. While fans eagerly await potential, future concerts, the SWEAT tour's cultural magnitude lives on—inviting us all to embrace our inner brat.
